Common questions about pricing
Do I need a card to start the free trial?
Yes. A card is required to start the 14-day free trial, and you are not charged until the trial ends. Cancel before then and you pay nothing. There are no setup fees.
What counts as a text?
One text message to one person is one text. If you alert 40 people by text, that uses 40 of your monthly texts. Email alerts never count against your texts.
What happens when I use up my monthly texts?
Your status page still updates and email alerts still go out. Text alerts pause until your texts reset the next month. We email your account admins when you reach 80% and again when you run out. To keep texting right away, buy an extra text pack (500 texts for $14.95 or 1,000 texts for $24.95) or move up a plan. Extra texts are used after your monthly texts and don't expire.
Why are the plans based on texts instead of the number of subscribers?
Email alerts are cheap, so they are unlimited on every plan. Texts cost real money per message, so the text plans are sized by how many texts you send a month. You can have as many subscribers as you need.
How do subscriber groups work?
Groups come with every text plan. You can make up to 10 groups, such as Managers, Employees or Customers, and add people to a group when you approve them. Before you change your status, you choose which groups to alert and see exactly how many people it will reach. Texting only the group that needs it makes your monthly texts go further.
Who sees my status page, and who gets alerts?
Anyone with your link can see your current status. Alerts only go to people who signed up and that you approved.
Can I change plans or cancel?
Yes. You can change your plan or cancel any time from Manage billing on your dashboard.
