Why I built Are We Working

I've worked in IT inside manufacturing plants for more than 25 years. Every time the weather turned or something went wrong, I watched the same scramble: the call-in weather line, the phone tree, and someone updating a TV station's web page just to tell people whether the plant was open.

When something goes wrong at a facility, timely communication is critical. So I built one link that always shows the real status, and tells the crew the moment it changes.
